ProTye is a UK-based designer and supplier of premium fly tying materials, built for trade buyers, bulk purchasers, and retailers who demand consistency, quality, and materials that perform in the water.
Built on Real Experience
ProTye was founded by someone who has spent a career in the fly tying industry. Having previously built and sold a successful fly tying retail business, we understand what tyers actually need — not just in terms of materials, but in terms of reliability, colour consistency, and value at scale. That experience is built into everything we do.
What We Make
We design and develop our own Fritz and chenille materials in-house, giving us full control over fibre quality, colour accuracy, and performance. Our range includes standard and UV-reactive Fritz, Mirage and Lumi Fritz, Eggstacy, straggle chenilles, and specialist hooks — each developed and tested for real-world results across a wide range of fly patterns.
Whether you're tying lures for rainbow trout, nymphs for brown trout, or attractor patterns for salmon, ProTye materials are designed to perform.
