ProTye isn't a new business started by someone who spotted a gap in the market. It was founded by someone who has spent a career in the fly tying industry — having previously built and sold a successful fly tying retail business, we understand what tyers actually need. Not just in terms of materials, but in terms of reliability, colour consistency, and value at scale.

That experience is built into every product we make.

What We Do Differently

We design and develop our own Fritz and chenille materials in-house. That means we control the entire process — fibre quality, colour accuracy, and performance. We don't just buy in generic materials and rebadge them. Every ProTye product is developed with a specific purpose in mind and tested for real-world results on the water.

Our current range includes standard Fritz, UV Fritz, Mirage Fritz, Lumi Fritz, Eggstacy, straggle chenilles, and specialist barbless hooks — with new materials in development.
