At ProTye, we're always looking for ways to give fly tyers an edge at the vice and on the water. That's why we're excited to introduce Lumi Fritz — our own in-house designed 15mm fritz with a twist that could change the way you fish blobs, fabs, and lures.
What Makes Lumi Fritz Different?
Lumi Fritz is a premium 15mm fritz woven with glow-in-the-dark fibres throughout. Charge it under UV or ambient light and it emits a subtle, enticing glow underwater — giving your flies that extra trigger point when the light drops or the water colours up. Whether you're fishing the early morning mist or a late evening session, Lumi Fritz keeps working when standard materials fade into the background.
Built for Blobs, Fabs & Lures
Lumi Fritz was designed with stillwater fishing firmly in mind. Its bulk and movement in the water make it ideal for:
- Blobs — wrap tightly for a dense, pulsing body that pushes water and glows
- Fabs — loose wraps create a flowing, breathing effect that trout find irresistible
- Lures — use it as a body or collar material to add that luminescent edge to your streamer patterns

We've launched Lumi Fritz in 10 carefully chosen colours to cover everything from bright, high-vis days to murky water conditions: Black, Chartreuse, Coral Reef, Olive, Orange, Pink, Sunburst, UV White, Yellow, and Yum Yum. Each hank is 30 metres — plenty to keep you going through a full season of tying.
